I am captivated by this series of games, in particular Dragon’s Lair I and II. I guarantee this game made me cry, (even though I was too young to specifically recall). loosing my dollar in a matter of literally seconds. The protagonist dirk is controlled by inputs that require split second timing and as a kid at least I would just choke. )Your eyes would lite up that first time, but only that first time. Once you’ve worked up the nerve, and finally approached the machine-with the $1.00 your mom gave you in 1988 money in tow(which translates probably to around $4.00-$5.00 now. Dragon’s Lair beckons with a dreaded “50” or in some places “100” on the coin slot. 25c arcade games are standard as postage. When you got there you noticed one thing. These machines were loud booming cabinets of doom sirens that would lure you from across a crowded arcade.
